Released on the US market back on Tuesday, July 18, the Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline bolt-action rifles breathe a fresh blow of new life in the line of bolt-action hunting and sport shooting rifles first launched with the Waypoint rifles back in September 2020.

Available in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, and with 406 mm / 16" or 608 mm / 20" barrels, the Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline will offer great performance on target and are specifically conceived for hunting, particularly mountain hunting and other disciplines that require the use of high-performing, yet lightweight and superbly portable firearms.

The Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline rifles are built around the same action used by the Waypoint rifles and employs a Grayboe Trekker rifle stock, made from a solid homogeneous fiberglass epoxy matrix, with a set of aluminumk bedding pillars, integrated bubble level in the thumb rest, skeletonized buttstock, vertical pistol grip, and three stud mounts – two in front and one in back – allow for easy attachment of slings and bipods.

A set of rubberized inserts allows easy adjustment of the length of pull; the action itself sports a fluted bolt with a screw-on, detachable knob; a 90-degrees throw; and a Remington 700 short action pattern MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for optics, installed via 6-48 screws.

Model 2020 Redline rifles come from factory with carbon-fiber wrapped BSF barrel with a 1:8" or 1:10" twist rate depending on caliber; all feature Springfield Armory's own radial muzzle brake installed on to a 5/8×24 thread at the muzzle, which allows the quick installation of silencers or sound suppressors where legal – so much so that Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline buyers in the US will be offered a $200 Tax Stamp incentive to purchase a suppressor from Silencer Central.

All Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline rifles, in all calibers, feed through detachable AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) pattern magazines. Redline rifles come issued with three-rounds single-stack magazines; the magazine release catch is located within the trigger guard, for easy and quick access.

Additionally, all Model 2020 Redline rifles come from factory with a Remington 700 pattern TriggerTech Field trigger, featuring TriggerTech's own Frictionless Release Technology and a low-profile, non-snag safety. The trigger pull weight is externally adjustable on a 1,1 to 2,26 kg range (2.5 to 5 lbs).

Standing in between 92,7 cm / 36.5" and 106 cm / 37.75" in overall length depending on the barrel length and the number of stock LOP inserts, and weighing in at approximately 2,7 kilograms (an average of 6 lbs.) when empty, the Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline rifles are all factory-guaranteed to deliver an astounding level of accuracy – .75 MOA – right out of the box.

In all its incarnations, the Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline bolt-action rifle is sold in the US at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of US$2,299.00. No informations concerning international availability and pricing have been released so far.
