Cabot Guns announces the Insurrection: its first 9mm double-stack pistol, fed through 17 or 20 rounds STI magazines

Announced on the US market in December 11, the new Cabot Guns Insurrection 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol is the first double-stack model to be offered by the Pennsylvania-based company known for being the manufacturer of the "Rolls-Royce of 1911 pistols".

Entirely manufactured out of US-sourced billet stainless steel, with a full plasma DLC matte black coating or matte stainless finish, the Insurrection pistol feeds through 17-rounds or 20-rounds magazines engineered and manufactured by Cabot Guns, and is backwards-compatible with STI/Staccato 2011 pistol magazines; 10-rounds magazines are available for sale in those Countries and jurisdictions where capacity limitations are imposed by law.

Impeccably built, hand-blended and finished, with very tight tolerances in the coupling of its parts (we're talking about thousandths of inches here), the Cabot Guns Insurgency pistol features a 5-inch Match-grade, hand-fit stainless steel barrel with fluted hood cuts, available with a target crown, a threaded muzzle, or optionally in a ported variants. The proprietary Advantage extractor found on the Insurgency pistol – an internal mechanism enhancing the reliability of the 9mm cartridge within the iconic 1911 platform – reinforces Cabot Guns' position at the forefront of 1911 pistols engineering and design.

Cabot Guns opened a new double-stack manufacturing facility in Cabot (Pennsylvania) specifically to manufacture the Insurrection pistol, so that it would not interrupt production of existing single stack pistols occuring at the Company's shop in Fort Wayne (Indiana). This allows Cabot Guns to remain committed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, ensuring each pistol is meticulously produced in-house.

To commemorate the launch, Cabot Guns released a limited run of 50 Inaugural editions (serial numbers 0001 through 0050), featuring ported barrels, Red Dot mounts with 2.5 MOA Trijicon SROs installed, and limited edition markings All 50 Inaugural editions sold out immediately, underlining the exceptional demand for the Insurrection.

Interested customers can now place an order for a new Cabot Guns Insurrection on the company website, choosing their optionals (including a Nanuk hard case). The basic price for the Insurrection is set at $5,995.00M; current lead times for new orders are 4-6 months, and due to a limited number of pistols Cabot produces every year, that lead time is expected to get longer as orders come in.
