Taurus introduces the new TH10 semi-automatic pistol

Posted in:

The Taurus TH10 is the Company's first personal defense pistol pistol chambered for 10mm Auto cartridge

Manufactured by Forjas Taurus S.A. in Brazil and distributed by the US-based subsidiary Taurus International Manufacturing, the new Taurus TH10 10mm Auto semi-automatic pistol is the first Taurus pistol to be chambered for the powerful 10mm cartridge, first introduced in the 1980s and recently enjoying a well-deserved comeback as science and manufacturing technologies allowed the firearms industry to manufacture 10mm-caliber handguns offering superior reliability, performance, and service life compared to what they were able to do forty years ago.

Very similar under many points of view to the TH45 model launched back in July 2023, the new Taurus TH10 is 198 mm / 7.8" long overall and features a 108 mm / 4.¼" matte stainless steel barrel with six right-handed grooves and a 1:16" twist rate, a black polymer frame and matte black machined alloy steel slide.

The Taurus TH10 features a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for tactical accessories, a slip-proof ergonomically-shaped grip, and a set of complete ambidextrous controls: the magazine release catch, slide stop, takedown lever, and frame-mounted manual safety are located on both sides of the frame, making the TH10 usable as easily by left-handed and right-handed shooters alike right out of the box.

A SA/DA, hammer-fired design, the TH10 feeds through double-stack fifteen rounds magazines. Other features include a dovetailed serrated rear and white dot front post sight; a firing pin block; and a loaded chamber indicator. Plus, like all other TH pistols, the TH10's thumb safety doubles as a decocker, safely lowering the hammer for Condition Two carry.

Weighing in at 808 grams / 28.5 oz. when unloaded, the Taurus TH10 is a functional, utilitarian big-bore defensive pistol, sold on the US market at a suggested retail price of $529.99.
