The Grand Power S.R.O. company, headquartered in Slovakia, introduced their new Grand Power P24 and Grand Power LP24 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistols back in March at the 2024 edition of IWA in Nuremberg, Germany, and are aimed at the competition shooting, service, defensive, and tactical handguns.

Grand Power's P24 and LP24 pistols are built on a reinforced polymer frame, and feature a striker-fired, single-action trigger; unlike other Grand Power pistols with their rotating barrel system, the new Grand Power P24 and LP24 pistols feature a Browning-type link-less locking system with a tilting barrel that locks on to the ejection port at the slide.

All the differences between the two models is in the total and barrel lengths: the P24 comes with a 93,1 mm / 3.66" barrel and is 183,5 mm / 7.2" long overall, while the LP24 features a longer slide, a 120,8 mm / 4.75" barrel, and is 211,1 mm / 8.31" long overall.

Both models feature dovetailed sights, a set of wide front and rear slide serrations and an optics interface with four factory-issued adapter plates allowing the use of a large number of popular micro red dot sights.

The polymer frame of the new Grand Power P24 and LP24 pistols features an integral MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for accessories, an ambidextrous magazine release and slide stop catch, and three factory-issued interchangeable grip backstraps.

Both the Grand Power P24 and LP24 feed through Glock 17 compatible magazines; safety features include a Glock-style trigger safety, a firing pin safety, a loaded chamber indicator and a striker indicator.

Accessories available for the Grand Power P24 and LP24 pistols will include different configurations of iron sights, such as adjustable sights or tall sights to co-witness with micro red dot optics; and threaded barrels for compensators, flash hiders, or (where legal) sound suppressors.

The Grand Power P24 and LP24 pistol samples showcased at IWA were pre-production models, and no information about pricing and availability has been released so far.
