New for the year 2017 from Nikon – a global market leader in high-grade optics, and now also a committed provider of sport optics for hunters as well as for competition, sport and leisure shooters in north America as well as in Europe and elsewhere in the world – is the BLACK riflescope series: a new category composed of five dedicated entries, engineered for either precision long-range rifle shooting, long-range hunting, or for action-shooting enthusiasts who practice with modern sporting rifles based on the AR-15 design or other modern military rifle platforms.

Nikon's BLACK line of riflescopes will be available commercially available starting Spring 2017 in the United States, with distribution on the international markets still being planned for a later stage.

For the precision rifle shooter, Nikon’s BLACK X1000 is offered in a range of 4-16x50 and 6-24x50 models with X-MRAD or X-MOA tactical-style reticles synchronized to elevated windage and elevation turrets.

Accurate and repeatable, the adjustments enable precise dialing of elevation come ups and wind compensation, while each of the new reticle designs present the shooter with a visually clean, yet highly functional and advanced tool for estimating range or maintaining holdovers.

The Nikon BLACK X1000 riflescopes will retail in the United States at $499.95 in the non-illuminated 4-16x50 X-MOA reticle variant; at $599.95 in the illuminated 4-16x50 X-MOA or X-MRAD reticle variant; and at $649.95 in the illuminated illuminated 6-24x50SF X-MRAD reticle variant.

Shooters looking for rapid-action targeting capability with modern sporting rifle platforms such as the AR-15 or other similar modern military-style rifles can rely on the BLACK FORCE1000 1-4x24 riflescope with capped turrets and illuminated SPEEDFORCE reticle.

When the riflescope is dialed down to its true 1x magnification, the reticle’s illuminated double horseshoe center portion serves as quick reference for reaction-speed target acquisition and engagement, as well as for establishing moving target leads. The SPEEDFORCE MOA reticle also integrates BDC circles and hash marks for precise intermediate-range target holdovers.

The Nikon BLACK FORCE1000 1-4x24 riflescope will retail in north America at a suggested price of $399.95.

The new BLACK series reticles can be applied to virtually any shooting application, regardless of caliber or ballistic performance and can be further optimized for specific shooting situations utilizing Nikon’s Spot On Ballistic Match Technology.

BLACK series riflescopes all feature a 30mm main body tube built with aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and Type 3 hard anodizing MIL-STD anodizing, providing exceptional ruggedness and optimum strength-to-weight ratios. Each riflescope has an optical system built from Nikon’s lead- and arsenic-free glass, which is optimized with the company’s full multilayer coating on all air-to-glass lens surfaces.

Spring-loaded instant zero-reset turrets provide precise, repeatable corrections on all BLACK riflescope models. And like all Nikon riflescopes, the new BLACK series is backed by the company’s No Fault policy for repair or replacement.
