The U.S. are a huge market for silencers and sound suppressors. Exception made for those States or jurisdictions where local laws ban them outright, silencers are regulated by the provisions of the 1934 National Firearms Act, and their ownership requires a lengthy licensing procedure, but this hasn't stopped American shooters from acquiring them in huge numbers until now, and under the new pro-gun Trump Administration the Hearing Protection Act may finally have a chance to be passed, removing silencers and sound suppressors from the provisions of the NFA and making them legal for over-the-counter, license-less purchase.

This led to an increase in the number of silencer lines being offered commercially on the U.S. market, and among the newest ones are the sound suppressors manufactured in Finland by Saimaa Still and imported by Arsenal Firearms USA.

Saimaa Still sound suppressors are built around a stainless steel, aluminum or titanium tube that's either Cerakote, anodized or glass-blast finished. Available in six different lines for pistol, rifle, carbine, sub-machinegun and automatic firearm calibers (most notably 5,56x45mm and 7,62x39mm), Saima Still silencers are packed with innovative features that will meet the needs of professional operators and appeal shooters wherever available.

Among the features of the Saimaa Still silencers is an extremely fast quick-detach capabilities. When installed through the company's own, proprietary muzzle devices, they just click in or out of the muzzle through a push of a button on the rear of the tube; no screwing or twisting is required.

Saimaa Still silencers can be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance, and baffles can be individually replaced. At the front end, all around the muzzle, is a series of vents that allow excessive exhaust gases to vent through and reduce the excessive recoil that's typical of silenced guns; the vents are protected by a stainless steel grid that traps fouling, preventing it from getting back within the gun and get it dirty or from being blown back towards the shooter's face. Saimaa Still silencers are also conceived to be used without requiring any kind of adjustment on the host firearm, eg. no adjustment of the gas key is required.
