Bushmaster Firearms announces the release of the XM15A2 50th Anniversary Rifle, a collectible AR-15 variant to celebrate the 50 years of existance of the brand

First established in 1973, Bushmaster Firearms is a venerable brand with a history of building proven and 100% US-made firearms. In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Bushmaster – recently re-established in Nevada after having been involved in the bankruptcy of their previous owner, the Remington Group – is excited to introduce the all-new American-made Bushmaster XM15A2 50th Anniversary Rifle.

The XM15A2 was designed as a throwback to the simple rifles that Bushmaster has always been known for. By bringing classic elements from the history of Bushmaster rifles the XM15A2 includes features such as a Type-III hard-coat anodized, 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, a fixed A2 carry handle, a rifle-length gas system, an A2-style handguard with triangular handguard cap, and a set of built-in, fixed 8/3 fixed carry handle rear sights.

And all of this, topped with a 20-inch phosphate chrome-lined barrel, a chrome-lined bolt carrier and gas key whose quality and durability will rival those of the original manufactured in the previous Bushmaster headquarters of Windham, Maine.

The Bushmaster XM15A2 50th Anniversary Rifle will be available in 100 samples, 50 of which will be Gold Edition models and 50 more being California compliant models.

Each XM15A2 is complete with a classic A2 pistol grip, MIL-SPEC trigger, and A2 flash hider, and comes issued with three Bushmaster aluminum magazines (10-rounds magazines for the California compliant model, 30-rounds magazines for the Gold Edition).

All samples will be packaged in a Limited Edition Logo embossed Pelican Hard Case, and will include one limited edition challenge coin marked with the 50th Anniversary logo and Bushmaster’s original 1973 logo on the back.

The Bushmaster XM15A2 50th Anniversary edition will be sold on the US market at a suggested retail price of $1,636.95 for the Gold Edition and $1,649.95 for the California compliant models.
