SHOT Show 2020 – The Austrian company's first groundbreaking rimfire trainer, the Glock G44 pistol, makes its official debut on the international markets at the 2020 edition of the Las Vegas SHOT Show
First announced mere days before Christmas, the Glock G44 was showcased at the 2020 edition of the SHOT Show; Glock's first ever rimfire pistol, the Glock G44 combines the familiar look and feel of the Austrian company's top-selling Glock 19 compact design with a plethora of true groundbreaking features.
A straight blowback design, the Glock G44 comes with a 102 mm / 4.02" barrel and Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) improved polygon rifling profile just like its bigger centerfire sister, the Glock 19; it also shares the G19 Gen.5's frame, with a slip-proof grip without finger grooves. interchangeable backstraps, a reversible magazine release catch, and an ambidextrous slide stop lever.
What is truly groundbreaking in the Glock G44 is the hybrid polymer-metal slide, keeping weight and recoil to very low levels. The slide comes with front and rear serrations; other features include a top witness hole for a quick visual chamber status check, a set of adjustable polymer sights and a classic Glock rail for accessories.
The Glock G44 is 185 mm / 7.28" long overall, and weighs barely 465 grams (16.40 oz) when fully loaded; each Glock G44 comes in a classic rigid polymer Glock carry case, and is issued with two polymer easy-fill magazines holding ten rounds of .22 Long Rifle ammunition.
