More than four, long years after its official introduction in January 2018, the SIG Sauer P365 remains the mainstay of the SIG Sauer semi-automatic defensive pistol production – in no small part thanks to its slim line, hell-bent reliability, high manufacturing quality, and modular design.

The P365 series, which as of today was comprised of seven micro-compact entries and four larger sized models, now grows up with yet another variant: the SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol is a cross-over pistol with quasi-full-size length and height and micro-compact width – 2,54 cm, or 1", the same as the micro-compact variants.

The SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO features a 7,9 cm / 3.1" carbon steel barrel and stands in at 168 mm / 6.6" in overall length; the slide protrudes slightly ahead of the muzzle, and is compensated with two wide cuts just before the front sight dovetail, providing excellent controllability in rapid fire or when using hot loads: less muzzle flash, less muzzle climb, less recoil.

As for the rest, the SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO is essentially the scaled-up version of the micro-compact P365, retaining the same grip and slide design, the same controls configuration, the same trigger and the same self-contained, removable FCU (Fire Control Unit) hosted within the polymer frame.

The frame features a longer MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for accessories; the stainless steel slide – once again, a scaled-up version of the micro-compact slide design, exception made for the front compensation cuts – comes with front and rear slide serrations for easier handling in all conditions and a set of dovetailed SIG Sauer X-RAY tritium day/night sights with tritium inserts.

The slide of the new SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO pistol also comes from factory with a micro red dot sight interface that will accept many of the most popular models currently available on the international market, including the SIG Sauer ROMEO Zero Elite 1x24mm. As of now, the P365-XMACRO is only available in a full matte black finish.

A longer grip allows for a longer magazine, which in turns means a higher capacity: the new SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO pistol feeds through double-stack metal magazines with a black polymer buttplate and a bright orange polymer follower, offering a staggering 17+1 rounds capacity.

The SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO weighs in at barely 610 grams (21.5 oz) when emtpy; an excellent compromise between overall dimensions, weight, and magazine capacity makes the new P365-XMACRO truly the "all-rounder" entry in the series, perfectly adequate for home defense, property protection, concealed carry, and as a service sidearm for law enforcement or private security personnel.

The SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO is available in the US at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $799.99; for further information concerning availability and pricing in your Country, consult your authorized SIG Sauer importer or dealer.
