Officially announced by Taurus USA on June 15th, 2020, the brand new Taurus G3c Compact 9mm selfloading handgun is the subcompact, concealed carry-oriented pistol of the polymer-frame, striker-fired Taurus G3 pistol introduced in the Summer of 2019.

Building on the proven foundation that has made the compact G-series among the most popular personal defense/EDC handguns ever, the Taurus G3c integrates all the upgrades of the new G3 line, positioning itself as the ideal successor to Taurus's own, highly successful Millennium and Millennium G2 lines.

Built around a reinforced, railed polymer frame with slip-proof surfaces on the grip, the Taurus G3c offers desirable safety features such as a thumb-activated, frame mounted manual safety; a striker block safety; and a grip safety. A loaded chamber indicator is also provided.

The Taurus G3c feeds from double-stack metal magazines with an extended baseplate and finger rest, offering a capacity of ten or twelve rounds of 9x19mm Luger ammunition. Three magazines are provided with each pistol.

The trigger system of the Taurus G3c is the same found on the full-size G3 model: a 6-lb. / 2,7 kg, single-action only trigger, with a smooth take-up and a crisp, clean break designed to exceed that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance, with a short reset for fast and controlled follow-up shots and a quick re-strike capability.

The slide of the Taurus G3c pistol is machined out of alloy steel and features front and rear serrations, a fixed front sight and a drift-adjustable rear sight. A stainless steel, 3.2" / 8,12 cm long barrel makes the Taurus G3c 6.3" / 16 cm long overall, 5.1" / 12,95 cm high and barely 1.2" / 3,04 cm wide – perfectly suited dimensions for concealed carry.

Standing at 22 oz. / 623 grams empty, the Taurus G3c is also lightweight enough for effortless 24/7 defensive carry.

The Taurus G3c is also available with a Viridian E-Series red laser, also available separately; TRUGLO also announced the availability of dedicated night sights. Other dedicated accessories such as holsters have been already announced by third parties.

The Taurus G3c is priced at $305.74 in the United States. No information concerning export availability and pricing has been made available so far.
