Sightmark – the well-known Texas-based company specialized in the manufacture and distribution of cost-effective, rugged and reliable optical sights and other sighting systems for hunting, sport shooting, tactical and law enforcement application – just announced their latest and greatest achievement in digital sighting technology: the Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini 2-16x32 digital riflescope.

Albeit relatively humble-looking if compared with other commercial digital sights, the Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini is a variable-zoom, digital riflescope with a factory-issued, separate IR illuminator, offering a cost-effective off-the-shelf solution for sport shooters who take part in night shooting competitions as well as for night-time hunting and pest control (where legally allowed) and for law enforcement applications, providing officers with an effective alternative for their standard patrol rifles that will enable them to effectively engage threats at any hour of the day or night.

Built around a sturdy hard-anodized, matte black lightweight aluminum alloy body and featuring a built-in MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail interface for installation on most modern hunting, sporting, and patrol rifles and carbines, the new Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini 2-16x32 digital riflescope features a 4K (3820x1260 px) CMOS sensor that will pick objects up to 300 yards (274,3 mt) away, thanks to the factory-issued, separate 850nm LED infrared illuminator.

Images are projected on an embedded FLCOS 1280x720 monitor in selectable green or black-and-white modes for night vision and in full color, Full HD mode for daytime vision.

The Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini 2-16x32 also comes issued from factory with an extendable rubber eyepiece, a set of two rigid flip-down lens cover caps and a quick throw-lever for manual adjustment of the 8X digital zoom.

The reticles can be adjusted on a 150 MOA range in elevation and 350 MOA range in windage, through 1 pixel/ ~X0.4MOA clicks.

Additionally, the new Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini features an embedded image recorder that can snap pictures in .JPEG 4K format or record videos of all activities in .AVI 1080p or 4K format, to be memorized in a user-provided SD card.

The device can record up to 1.75 hours of continuous video runtime in 4K resolution, and is compatible with external memory drives up to 250 gigabytes in size: a perfect combination for those users – night hunters, law enforcement, private security – who may want to conserve a memory of their successes on the field, film their activities to be used as an educational aid for others, or may need to document their operation for post-action reports.

The Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini is powered through two commercial CR123A batteries, offering a continuous runtime of 3.6 hours in Video mode or 4.4 hours in Preview mode. Alternatively, a micro-USB port is provided to connect the device to an external 5 Volt power source.
