New for 2020 from Blaser – one of Germany's premier manufacturers of hunting guns and bespoke accessories – the RD20 1x36mm red dot sight is a dedicated optical sight specifically developed for the Blaser line of hunting rifles, featuring the Company's own saddle mount seamlessly integrated into the aluminum housing for a sleek and compact design and a lower overall weight.
Standing at barely 195 grams / 6.8 oz. in ready-to-use configurations, the Blaser RD20 offers desirable features desirable features such as a 36mm diameter objective lens and a very wide field of view that's parallax-free up until 50 meters / 54.6 yd, making it perfect for driven or battue hunting.
Powered by a single battery, the Blaser RD20 red dot sight features two buttons providing manual on/off capabilities and manual navigation between thirty available illumination levels for the 2 MOA red illuminated dot.
The built-in Intelligent Illumination Control (IIC) system turns the RD20 off when it detects that the rifle is being carried with the muzzle up, down, or is in a rest position; the dot is turned automatically on again when the rifle is leveled to a targeting position.
The IIC system also automatically shuts off the dot illumination after six hours of continuous operation. The combination of the IIC and manual setting capabilities for the illumination system allows the Blaser RD20 to exceed 50.000 hours of battery life.
Standing at 98 mm / 3.85" of length, 44 mm / 1.73" of width and 66 mm / 2.59" of height, the Blaser RD20 provides a 300 cm @ 100 m (9.84 ft. @ 109.36 yd) adjustment range in both windage and elevation, with a top dial for elevation and a side dial for windage: each click causes a 2 cm / 100 m (0.78" @ 109.3 yd) shift of the point of impact.
The Blaser RD20 red dot sight can operate at temperatures ranging between -25°C to +50°C (-13 to +122°F), and will resist immersion in water up to 0,4 bar of pressure (4 meters / 13.12 ft. of depth).
