Beretta Holding expands its reach on the international market with the acquisition of iconic British gunmaker Holland & Holland, the world’s premier provider of bespoke luxury hunting guns since 1835
Beretta Holding’s reach on the international markets expands further in 2021 with a new acquisition, this time in the United Kingdom: starting February 1st, 2021, the quintessential Italian firearms manufacturer is the sole owner of Holland & Holland, Ltd. – a true legend in gunmaking history, established in London in 1835 and an icon of luxury and exclusive hunting guns ever since.
Back in 2019, the Beretta Holding had expanded on the fine guns market by acquiring French manufacturer Chapuis Armes; now, with the acquisition of Holland & Holland, the Beretta Holding acquires a truly legendary brand, well known for serving an élite clientele with the best and topmost line of bespoke luxury hunting rifles and shotguns in the world.
The terms and conditions of the contract have not been made public, but in its official press release, Beretta refers to Holland & Holland as the ideal partner to satisfy all the needs and demands of such a complex market segment as that of luxury hunting guns, and commits to preserve Holland & Holland’s rich history, tradition and know-how of artisanal gunmaking in the UK.
Beretta’s long history of generous investments in controlled brands will be honored with Holland & Holland, with the British bespoke gunmaker soon going to benefit from it. The acquisition contract also includes the Holland & Holland Shooting Ground – one of Britain’s best and most exclusive shooting ranges, located just west of London – which will now be owned and controlled by the Beretta Holding.
Pietro Gussalli Beretta, President and CEO of the Beretta Holding:
“This is a truly exciting development and a historic milestone for the Beretta family and Group, whose international presence expands and consolidates even further. Even with the challenges of Brexit lying ahead, I am happy to increase our direct engagement on the British market, where the Beretta Group is already active with a very well-established distribution network."
