While generally acknowledged by way less people than it'd deserve to, the Italian-based Radar company is a true global powerhouse in the field of concealed carry, open carry, duty, military and tactical holsters. At the 2018 edition of the NSSF SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Radar showcased three new molded polymer retention holsters to boost their already vast catalogue.

The new 6687/552AL CRAB-PRO Glock holsters is a variant of the previous 552K model, which would accept a gun only without a flashlight or with a proprietary GTL light. Thanks to a new open-bottom design, the new CRAB-PRO 552AL will fit Glock pistols with any tactical flashlight currently available on the market, without excessive wobble or excessive retention. Holstering and drawing the gun will be as easy and fluid as usual.

The Radar 6607/2506 is probably one of the most eagerly awaited new products in the field of tactical holsters for this year, having been specifically built to accept the new Beretta APX semi-automatic polymer frame striker-fired pistol.

The Radar 6607/2506 is a "Safe & Index" retention holster, with all safety systems remaining easy to disengage with the index finger in a movement that can only be naturally made by the user when drawing his or her gun, further reducing the risk of theft.

Last, but not least, the new Radar 6041/5737 "All Index" tactical holster was built for the semi-automatic, striker-fired, polymer frame Heckler & Koch SFP9 pistol, known in north America as the VP9.

Between 2017 and 2018, the Police of the German federal State of Brandeburg and the Berlin city Police both adopted the SFP9, in a move that is likely to prompt other adoptions in the same Country and abroad and open a lively market for this holster.

All the new Radar holsters are compatible with the Company's own, brand new 6502/5626 "Supercomfort" thigh mount, the latest entry in the Radar RDC Evo portability system that allows the user to change holster position in seconds.
