SHOT Show 2017 - Two new backpacks and four new bags add up to Maxpedition's already extensive line of tactical and lifestyle gear
Maxpedition is one of the world's best known names in the field of tactical gear and apparel for civilian shooters, outdoor enthusiasts, and professional operators.
Maxpedition product line was boosted this year at SHOT Show with the launch of six different products: the TIBURON and LITHVORE backpacks; the SKYVALE and SKYRIDGE messenger bags; and the VELDSPAR and LOCHSPYR crossbody shoulder bags.
All the new items are part of Maxpedition's Advanced Gear Research™ (AGR™) line of packs, bags, pouches and accessories, launched in 2016 to once again revolutionize the tactical gear industry.
While the Maxpedition brand DNA of uncompromising durability is preserved, modernized aesthetics and a broadened palette of custom components elevate Maxpedition equipment to a new level of quality and innovation.
Pouches now come standard with Maxpedition’s patent pending TacTie® Polymer Joining Clips for modular attachment.
Maxpedition Skyvale and Skyridge AGR Bags
The Maxpedition SKYVALE messenger bag is a single shoulder strap pack, and has a fully loop-lined rear CCW compartment.
The front organizer compartment has a magnetic and zippered closure. The main compartment has numerous pockets, sleeves, and elastic for excellent organization.
There is a dedicated 13.3" laptop compartment and a padded tablet sleeve. The shoulder strap includes a curved shoulder pad and pivoting strap connections.

The suggested retail price for ther Maxpedition Skyvale AGR bag is set at $178.99.
The Maxpedition SKYRIDGE messenger bag is a smaller-version of the Skyvale; it features a frontal organizer compartment with magnetic closure and a loop field for patch adhesion; pivoting shoulder strap connections and a dedicated 15” laptop compartment and tablet sleeve.
The main compartment has numerous pockets, sleeves & elastic loops for excellent organization, and the rear CCW compartment features an 18” zipper opening.
Other features include a skin-friendly seatbelt webbing; a stowable adjustable waist belt doubles as a trolley strap; a curved shoulder pad, a Shapeshift™ webbing grab handle reinforced with bartacks and laser cut ATLAS™ Attachment Lattice System. MSRP is set at $168.99.
Maxpedition Veldspar and Lochspyr AGR bags
The Maxpedition VELDSPAR is a crossbody shoulder bag optimized for concealed carry. The rear CCW compartment is fully loop-lined and has a 16" zipper opening.
The main compartment has a pocket sized to fit most tablets. There is also has a side expandable bottle pocket with dual zipper garages that can accomodate a 32 oz. Nalgene water bottle.
The Maxpedition LOCHSPYR is a slightly smaller version of the Veldspar, sporting most of the Veldspar's AGR signature features.
What tells the two entries apart is the Lochspyr's adjustable reinforced seatbelt webbing shoulder strap with quick release buckle and padded shoulder pad.
In the United States, the Maxpedition Veldspar AGR bag is priced at $136.99; the Lochspyr AGR bag comes a little bit cheaper at $107.99.
Maxpedition Tiburon and Lithvore AGR backpacks
The Maxpedition TIBURON is an ergonomic backpack with quick release yoke-style straps. There is a top zippered slip pocket with a loop field for patch adhesion, a front admin pocket for added organization, two YKK-zippered side pockets, a middle tech compartment, and a fully opening & lockable middle compartment.
The middle tech compartment has a padded pocket sized to fit a 13" laptop and most tablets. The main compartment has a hydration reservoir, and there are dual hydration tube ports.
The Maxpedition LITHVORE backpack comes instead with padded shoulder straps, a top loop field for patch adhesion, a front admin pocket for added organization, a bottom shock cord retention array, two expandable bottle pockets with dual zipper garages, and a fully opening main compartment.
MSRP for the U.S. is set at $259.99 for the Tiburon and $149.99 for the Lithvore. International distribution for both models – as well as for all the other new products launched by Maxpedition at the SHOT Show – should kick off later during the year.
