Introduced by the Fox Knives company of Italy at the 2024 edition of SHOT Show, the Fox FX-654 CR Billao fixed-blade knife is a historical replica design that pays homage to the "Billao" knife model issued to the Italian Colonial Police deployed in Africa during the 1930s and 1940s. As the company geared up for the manufacturing of the Billao, Fox Knives made a point to retain the original aesthetics of the design while taking advantage of the possibilities in terms of resistance and service life provided by modern materials and manufacturing technologies.

A satin N690Co leaf-shaped steel blade, with a hardness level ranging on a 58-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale and a three-pronged handle pommel, with the center point formed by the protrusion of the blade tang, is coupled to a traditionally designed buffalo horn handle.

The leather sheath features a belt loop and a set of thigh strings for hip carry, and is designed to accommodate both the handle and the hilt, maintaining the practicality and originality of the Billao knife. Screws are manufactured out of stainless steel.

Standing at 31 cm (12.20") overall in length, with a 19 cm (7.48") long, 5 mm (0.20") thick one-edged blade, the Fox Billao knife weighs in at 355 grams (12.52 oz) overall, and is sold in a decorative wood and cardboard box.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Fox Billao Knife ranges around €350,00 in its native Italy.
