New at the 2020 SHOT Show from Savage Arms – one of America's most trusted manufacturers of hunting and target rifles – comes the Renegauge, a fully American-made, semiautomatic 12 gauge shotgun built for field use.

First announced merely days before the grand Las Vegas venue, the Savage Arms Renegauge shotgun was conceived to offer hunters and competitors what the Company refers to as "a new standard for both fit and function" thanks to several patented parts and designs – first and foremost a new gas system, dubbed the Dual Regulating Inline Valve (D.R.I.V.).

According to Savage Arms, the Renegauge shotgun has been in the works for years, during which the design has been tested to the extreme both in the field and in the lab. Everything in the design is intentional and has a purpose: make the shotgun function reliably and cycle light loads and Magnum field loads alike with consistency and reliability, while providing the ergonomics and endurance required to withstand the nastiest conditions of use both in hunting and wing shooting. The D.R.I.V. system makes sure that both low-brass target shells and Magnum hunting shells will cycle the action with the same reliability and without any adjustment from the shooter.

This functionality is complimented by a high degree of ergonomics, with most aspects of the Renegauge shotgun, from comb height to length of pull, drop and cast, being adjustable to match the user's needs. Every Renegauge shotgun is sold in a hard-sided carrying case.

Other features of the Savage Arms Renegauge shotgun include a 4+1 shells capacity with a competition-ready, easy loading port; a one-piece, chrome plated action bar assembly and a stock rod buffer to reduce felt recoil; a fluted barrel with Melonite finish with a carbon steel ventilated rib equipped with a red fiber-optic front sight; a set of oversized controls and chrome-plated reciprocating components; a stock rod buffer to reduce felt recoil; three interchangeable flush-mount, Beretta/Benelli compatible choke tubes (IC, M and F).

Four variants of the Savage Arms Renegauge shotgun have been announced so far: both the full black Renegauge Field and the Renegauge Waterfowl models, sporting a full Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camo, come with either a 26" or a 28" barrel; while the Renegauge Turkey Obsession and the Renegauge Turkey Bottomland versions, named after the respective Mossy Oak camo pattern they come with, are only available in 24" barrel configuration.
