The Kel-Tec KSG410 .410-gauge pump-action bull-pup shotgun is one of the new products introduced by Kel-Tec at the 2023 edition of SHOT Show, in Las Vegas: essentially a scaled-down version – both in size and bore – of the KSG dual-feeding 12-gauge pump-action shotgun that Kel-Tec has been offering on the global market ever since 2011.

The history of the KSG410, however, goes much farther back than that: back in the early 1990s, Kel-Tec founder George Kellgren had patented a .410-gauge pump-action bull-pup shotgun design dubbed the Grendel GSG-41, which never made it into production. So many decades later, Kel-Tec’s technology and expertise made that vision a reality, albeit with many radical changes to the original design.

Kel-Tec’s KSG410 features the original KSG’s side-by-side double feeding tubes and single port for loading and downwards ejection port – which, along with the configuration of controls, makes this shotgun completely ambidextrous – mixing it with the Kel-Tec KS7’s handguard and raised polymer handguard with built-in fiber-optic sighting system. The low recoil of .410 gauge makes the new KSG410 perfect for home defense. The overall capacity reaches 11 shotshells. MSRP is set at $495 on the US market; the KSG410 will start shipping in Q3 2023.
