SHOT Show 2020 – Franchi's latest over-and-under shotgun, the Instinct SLX, offers high-level ergonomics and a beautiful style in a finely crafted and tuned platform available in three popular calibers
New for 2020 and freshly showcased at the SHOT Show, the Franchi Instinct SLX over-and-under shotgun is the deluxe version of the Company's own, popular Instinct SL line. Pairing superior ergonomics with premium aesthetics, the Instinct SLX follows the Franchi tradition of producing fast, reliable and smooth-swinging guns for hunters and sport shooters alike.
The Instinct SLX boast features usually seen on more expensive shotguns such as a cut-out locking lever, artistically engraved receiver with gold inlays, gold trigger and handsomely checkered AA-grade walnut Prince of Wales stock and Schnabel forend, all satin-finished. The vented glossed-blue barrels are tipped with a red fiber-optic sight and extended choke tube to complete the overall aesthetic.
Available in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge versions, all capable of using either 2.¾"/70mm or 3"/76mm shotshells, the shotgun performs as well as it looks. The intuitive design provides a comfortable, instinctive feel to quickly get on target. A safety-mounted selector switch allows shooters to choose which barrel fires first. All-steel auto ejectors throw spent shells well clear.
The Franchi Instinct SLX is 46.¼" (approx. 117 cm) long overall, and features 28"/71cm barrels, for an overall weight ranging between 5.6 lbs/2,54 kg and 6.3 lbs/2,85 kg depending on the version and caliber. Extended, Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full chokes are available. The shotgun comes in its own protective custom-fitted case for safe transportation and is backed by a 7-year warranty.
