Weatherby Vanguard First Lite
New for 2018 at the NSSF SHOT Show from Weatherby is Vanguard First Lite rifle; the latest entry in Weatherby's successful Vanguard line of hunting rifles offers features such as a Monte Carlo stock and a First Lite Fusion camo, a unique and proprietary pattern that removes an object’s outline at distances from 2,200 yards (2 kilometers).
The rifle is offered in four Weatherby Magnum calibers – .240 Weatherby Magnum, .257 Weatherby Magnum, 6.5-200 Weatherby Magnum and .300 Weatherby Magnum – and four traditional calibers: .270 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield and .300 Winchester Magnum.
Weatherby Vanguard First Lite
All models feature fluted barrels with #2 contours, finished in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote. The barrel length is 26"/66cm (28"/71cm overall length with standard Accubrake) for magnum chamberings and 24"/61cm (26"/66cm overall length with standard Accubrake) for non-magnum calibers and .240 Weatherby Magnum.
Additional standard features include a fluted, one-piece machined bolt body and fully-enclosed bolt sleeve, an integral recoil lug, hinged floorplate, 3-position safety and an adjustable match-grade, two-stage trigger.
The Vanguard First Lite carries a SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee (.99"/2.5cm or less 3-shot group at 100 yards (91,44 mt) when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition).
