Teased in late December, Savage Arms' highly anticipated MSR line of Modern Sporting Rifles has been finally introduced officially at the SHOT Show.

A brand previously known mostly for its line of high-accuracy bolt-action hunting, sport shooting and tactical rifles joins the modern sporting firearms market with its MSR-10 and MSR-15 line of semi-automatic, AR-10 and AR-15 style rifles offering top-of-the-line quality at bargain price.

The Savage Arms MSR-10 rifle is available in two .308/7,62mm and 6.5 Creedmoor variants

The new Savage Arms MSR-15 Patrol is a step up from the many rack-grade M4 clones popular today. With an upgraded barrel featuring a 223 Wylde target chamber that will easily handle .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO loads, 5R rifling and a Melonite QPQ finish, the rifle delivers accuracy well beyond MIL-SPEC. A BLACKHAWK!® handguard, pistol grip and adjustable buttstock further separate the Patrol from all other MSRs.

The new MSR-15 Recon comes standard with upgrades serious shooters demand, including a BLACKHAWK!® AR Blaze™ trigger, free-float handguard and upgraded Savage barrel with a 223 Wylde target chamber. Its 5R rifling and a Melonite QPQ finish ensure the most consistent, accurate performance in any conditions, while the Recon’s custom-forged lower receiver and BLACKHAWK! adjustable buttstock and pistol grip impart a look that stands out from the crowd.

The Savage MSR-10 Hunter is a compact sporting platform that still packs the punch of .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor chamberings. The rifle squeezes even more performance from its upgraded Savage barrel with 5R rifling, a BLACKHAWK!® AR Blaze™ trigger, and a tough Melonite QPQ finish. Other upgrades including a free-float fore-end, custom-forged lower receiver and BLACKHAWK! adjustable buttstock and pistol grip turn the Hunter into the ultimate big game rifle.

Packing all the features and upgrades expected from a Savage precision rifle into a single platform, the MSR-10 Long Range is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Winchester, and is built on a compact frame with a non-reciprocating side-charging handle. Its BLACKHAWK!® AR Blaze™ two-stage target trigger and Magpul PRS® adjustable buttstock optimize the inherent accuracy of the upgraded Savage barrel, which features 5R rifling and a Melonite QPQ finish.
