Browning introduces four new X-Bolt rifles for 2023

The Browning X-Bolt line of bolt-action rifles keeps a-growing in 2023: four new models were showcased at SHOT Show, each dedicated to a specific use – long-range precision hunting, long-range precision sport shooting, or both – making the wildly popular line even more versatile.

 

The Browning X-Bolt Target Pro McMillan bolt-action rifle – available in .308 Winchester, 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5 Creedmoor, all with a 66 cm / 26” fluted barrel and a detachable MDT 10-rounds magazine – is built around a McMillan A3-5 carbon fiber stock with an adjustable cheek riser and features a stiffer, heavier receiver, a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake on a 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready muzzle thread, an adjustable Target DLX trigger, and a fluted bolt with an oversized charging handle. MSRP on the US market is set at $4,129,99.

Browning introduces four new X-Bolt rifles for 2023

The Browning X-Bolt Target Max bolt-action rifle is a simplified version of the above, retaining all the key features of the Target Pro McMillan version except for the stock, which in this case is a Browning MAX matte black synthetic stock. MSRP is set at $1,729.99 for the US market.

 

The Browning X-Bolt Target Lite Max bolt-action rifle is a variant of the Target Max model, equal under almost every aspect except for the barrel and overall weight; in order to remain within the 12-pound / 5,44 kg weight limit as per the National Rifle League Production Class rules (rifle, optics and mounts), this rifle is fitted with a stainless heavy sporter profile barrel is that fluted to reduce weight and increase surface area for faster heat dissipation. MSRP is set at $1,779.99 for the US.

Last, but not least, the Browning X-Bolt Speed Suppressor Ready bolt-action rifle is a purely hunting-oriented design built around a composite stock with an OVIX camo pattern finish, featuring a burnt bronze Cerakote treatment on all outer metal component and a deeply fluted barrel with a massive muzzle brake installed on a suppressor-ready muzzle thread for all those Countries where the use of silencers is legal or even legally required when hunting. Depending on the caliber – eleven are available: .204 Ruger, .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, 6.5 PRC, 6.8 Western, 7mm Remington Magnum, 28 Nosler, .300 Winchester Magnum, and .300 PRC – the X-Bolt Speed SR comes with an 18, 20, or 22 inch barrel.
