Savage Arms introduces the Impulse Elite Precision straight-pull high-accuracy rifle, mating the proprietary straight-pull action, barrel and receiver of the Impulse family of rifles with an MDT machined aluminum chassis for excellent stability and quick follow-up shots in long-range precision shooting competitions

Savage Arms expands the already successful Impulse line of straight-pull rifles – first introduced in early 2021 – with a brand new variant dedicated specifically to long-range precision shooting competitions: the new Savage Arms Impulse Elite Precision model, assembled on a precision lightweight alloy chassis provided by MDT- Modular Driven Technologies, up in Canada.

Savage's Precision series rifles win competitions and connect at extreme distances, and the new Impulse Elite Precision is meant to raise the bar in terms of performance with even faster split times.

With the Elite Precision model, Savage Arms further expands the applications of the Impulse series towards sport shooting specialties like the PRS, where the combination of shooting precision and quick shots repetition is perfect.

At the heart of the new Savage Arms Impulse Elite Precision rifle is the same lightweight aluminum receiver and steel straight-pull action found on all other models of the series, featuring a versatile, removable charging handle that can be adjusted for inclination to adapt to each shooter's favorite techniques and stances, and even swapped for left-handed or right-handed ejection. A machined top 20-MOA MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail provides a solid platform for optical sights, electro-optics, and the like.

All barrels mounted on the Impulse Elite Precision rifles are modified Palma contour, precision button-rifled out of stainless steel, ranging between 66 and 72 cm (26" to 30") in length depending on the caliber, and Savage's own muzzle brake installed on a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle.

The stock is what makes most of the difference here – more specifically a nitride-coated, single-piece MDT ACC (Adjustable Core Competition) chassis machined out of lightweight aluminum alloy, featuring a vertical pistol grip, a rock-solid ARCA Swiss bottom interface and a set of M-LOK slots on both sides for all sorts of accessories.

The fixed buttstock, also manufactured out of aluminum, is fully precision-adjustable; same goes for the cheek riser.

Other features of the Impulse Elite Precision rifle include a 1.5-4lb (680 gr / 1,81 kg) user-adjustable AccuTrigger; an AICS-compatible magazine well; and an ambidextrous magazine release paddle for quick reloading.

The Impulse Elite Precision rifle is available in seven popular long-range shooting calibers: .308 Winchester, .300 PRC, .300 Winchester Magnum, .338 Lapua Magnum, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 6.5 PRC. Factors such as overall length, overall weight, twist rate, and magazine capacity for the rifle will vary depending on your choice of caliber.

The Savage Arms Impulse Elite Precision straight-pull rifle is already available on the U.S. market, starting at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $2,499.99. International customers may want to reach out to their closest authorized Savage Arms distributor for information concerning local availability and pricing.
