Glock 26 Gen5 and Glock 34 Gen5 MOS pistols
SHOT Show 2018 – Glock's "Fifth generation" grows further: the subcompact Glock 26 Gen5 and the competition-ready Glock 34 Gen5 with MOS optical mounting system
New from Glock for 2018 at the SHOT Show were two additions to the Generation 5 pistol family debuted last year: the subcompact Glock 26 and the competition-oriented Glock 34 MOS.
The G26 Gen5 and G34 Gen5 MOS continue the evolution of perfection with several design changes to distinguish them from their Gen4 predecessors.
Glock has combined the standards of high-level performance and reliability with distinctive design enhancements to improve durability, accuracy, and performance. The benefits enhance the shooter experience at the range and in high-stress situations where fractions of a second matter.
Among the design enhancements are the Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) which delivers increased accuracy with enhanced polygonal rifling and an improved barrel crown, no finger grooves, ambidextrous slide stop levers for better versatility and control, and an nDLC finish, which is a tougher and more durable finish that is exclusive to the Glock manufacturing process.
Both guns come with a new magazine, featuring an orange polymer follower; the Glock 34 Gen5 magazine also comes with a floorplate enlarged at the front for faster change, thanks to the flared magazine well.
Just like all Gen5 Glock pistols, both the new Glock26 Gen5 and Glock 34 Gen5 MOS feature an interchangeable grip backstrap, an RTF slip-proof texture, and do without finger grooves. The magazine catch is enlarged and reversible, and the slide stop lever is extended and ambidextrous.
