2017 marked the thirtieth year of Glock presence on the U.S. market. A long time has passed since the oddball polymer frame pistol – vanquishing misbelief, doubts and often even outright ostracism – started its long climb to the top, up until the position it firmly holds now: a position of leadership that is still unchallenged over thirty years after the first 9mm full-size Glock pistol was developed.

Glock had a strong presence at the 2017 SHOT Show, celebrating thirty years of astonishing results by showcasing the latest entries in its product line.

The M.O.S. (Modular Optic System) line was of course the tip of the spear, now including the 9mm Glock 17, Glock 19 and Glock 34 models; the .40 caliber Glock 35 model; the 10mm Auto Glock 40 model; and the .45 caliber Glock 41 model.

Glock's M.O.S. pistols feature a slot on the rear top portion of the slide that allow the installation of the most common miniature reflex or red dot sights for handguns through the use of interchangeable adapting plates. The added versatility and quick and clear target acquisition make Glock's M.O.S. pistols perfect for home defense, sport shooting, and tactical applications.

Concealed carry license holders have instead contributed to make top sellers out of Glock's two new single-stack pistols: the .380 caliber Glock 42 and the 9x19mm caliber Glock 43 are low-print, high performance pistols conceived for personal protection and undercover or off-duty professional purposes.

Thirty years after it arrived in the United States and over thirty-five years after its pistols were first launched in Europe, Glock is still going strong and leading the market. And everybody is looking ahead for what will come in the next thirty years!
