Ruger continues building on the reputation of the Wrangler line of single-action rimfire revolvers, first introduced in 2019 and today one of the top selling lines of handguns for target shooting, plinking, training, and for the introduction of novices to the basics of marksmanship and safe handling of firearms.

The new Ruger Super Wrangler single-action rimfire revolver  – available in Cerakote black, grey, and bronze variants – features a replaceable six-shots cylinder, allowing shooters to easily and quickly convert their gun from basic .22 Long Rifle to the much more powerful .22 WMR, offering further verstility for plinking, training, competition, small game hunting, or pest control.

While in the past Ruger built itself a solid reputation as a manufacturer of reliable, budget-priced revolvers thanks to their mastering of investment casting technologies, 21st Century Ruger relies on CNC machining to manufacture the Super Wrangler's aluminum alloy frame. The 139 mm / 5.5" barrel, with its six RH grooves and 1:14" twist rate, is cold hammer forged out of solid steel; the matte black cylinder is likewise manufactured out of steel.

Various small parts of the Ruger Super Wrangle revolver – specifically the fixed post front sight, windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, extractor rod, polymer grip panels – are black in all variants, while the trigger and hammer are grey, providing captivating color accents to the Cerakote finish of the frame and barrel tube. The transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock provide an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge.

Each Ruger Super Wrangler revolver comes from factory with two cylinders – a .22 Long Rifle and a .22 WMR cylinder respectively – allowing shooters to immediately exploit the design's versatility. The Super Wrangler revolvers are not compatible with the Wrangler series cylinders.

Standing in at 27,9 cm / 11" in overall length and weighing in at approximately 1 kilogram / 37.7 oz. (quite hefty for a rimfire!), the Ruger Super Wrangler revolver is currently available on the US market at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $329.00 for all versions.
