IWA 2016 – the FK BRNO company has presented the FK Combat and Sport Field Pistols, final versions of the prototype in the powerful 7,5 FK caliber first seen exactly one year ago

The FK BRNO company brought its 7,5 FK Pistol back to the IWA expo in Nuremberg, where its prototype was first showcased exactly one year ago. After one year, the pistol is now available in two models: the FK Combat and Sport Field versions. Both models are for the civilian sport market, such as long range field shooting/hunting/ silhouettes and combat sport shooting.

Even if aesthetically similar to a CZ-75 pistol, the FK BRNO 7,5 FK caliber pistol is actually a totally unique concept: manufactured out of a full stainless steel slide and frame, with aluminum grip panels, a SA/DA trigger and a 15-shots magazine, 9 inches overall length, and comes with a 6-inch barrel and weighs 45 ounces overall.

The centerpiece of the new pistol is in the proprietary 7,5 FK bottleneck ammunition, generally loaded with a bullet weighing between 98 and 103 grains.

This powerful cartridge is capable to deliver a muzzle velocity up to 2.000 fps (610 m/s) and a muzzle energy of 880 ft/lbs (1200 J).

At 100 meters the 7,5 FK cartridge retains the same stopping power of a .44 Magnum, offering a staggering high level of accuracy at a range exceeding the capability of any other combat pistol – 1.5" groups at 100 meters!

A proprietary built-in recoil mitigation technology – consisting in a piston located in the frame, right under the barrel – keeps recoil and muzzle climb to levels akin to those of a standard .45 ACP pistol.

New in this final version, the FK BRNO 7,5 FK pistol features two different aluminum grips designs: one with a round shaped back (the red one in our pictures), and another with a flat shaped back (the blue one in our pictures).

The grips are made out of two shells and are finely checkered. In our opinion, the flat back shaped grips offer a better control over the pistol, especially in rapid fire conditions.

Plus, the pistol now features a new optional folding stock, well designed, lightweight, concealable in a pocket and really effective in rapid fire shooting with this powerful pistol.
