Originally announced in mid-2018 as the "Tactical Commander Pistol", the Dan Wesson TCP "Tactical Compact Pistol" was made commercially available in early August as an all-day-carry handgun for those who prefer the 1911 platform and demand great accuracy in a carry pistol.

The Dan Wesson TCP features a compact, stainless steel slide that is beveled in a tri-top design, creating a smoother profile for easy, snag-free holstering and drawing. Aggressive slide serrations make loading and unloading the Dan Wesson TCP a pleasure.

A top rib on the Dan Wesson TCP slide helps reduce glare, plus it features Dan Wesson’s new U-notch rear sight with a whopping .156-inch-wide notch. Paired with a brass-beaded front sight, this sight combination puts a shooter eyes on target fast.

For superior accuracy, the DW TCP sports a four-inch-long bull barrel. The barrel features a 30-degree crown and is flush cut for easier disassembly. The frame is machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and sports a railed dust cover for tactical accessories.

The TCP’s G10 grips are also new from Dan Wesson, with a tapered profile that is slim at the top and full-width at the bottom, giving shooters with smaller hands an easier reach to the trigger.

With three facets that mimic the distinctive slide, the serrated features on the grip encourage a high, deep grip, as does the undercut trigger guard.

The grip of the Dan Wesson TCP is full-sized, providing a very stable platform for any shooter’s hands.

The Dan Wesson one-piece magwell, flat K-style trigger, and square hammer round out the TCP’s features, while the complete pistol tips the scales at just 32 ounces (907 grams) empty, for an overall length of 7.64 inches (19,4 cm).

Available in 9mm Luger and .45 ACP – both feeding from standard 1911-A1 compatible single-stack 8-rounds magazines – and done in a Black Duty overall finish, the Dan Wesson TCP comes with a standard left-side frame mounted manual safety and grip safety.

At home in a carry holster, on a nightstand or at the range, the Dan Wesson TCP is quality-guaranteed to be on the job and ready for years to come.

The Dan Wesson TCP is currently available on the US market at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,725.00 for the .45 ACP version and $1,700.00 for the 9mm version. Export availability and pricing information should come in the following months.
