The CZ P-10 line of polymer frame, striker-fired semi-automatic pistols grows up – only in the United States, for now at least – with the launch of yet another variant, this time specifically conceived for IPSC and USPSA practical shooting: the CZ P-10F Competition-Ready, introduced by CZ-USA, features numerous improvements to the standard design, specifically conceived to improve performance in those key moments that will decide the outcome of a competition.

The new CZ P-10F Competition-Ready is built around the same fiber-reinforced, matte black polymer frame used on the CZ P-10F full-sized service/tactical pistol, and as such it features a Picatinny rail for tactical accessories, an aggressive slip-proof checkering pattern on all contact surfaces, and a good set of interchangeable backstraps, making the pistol comfortable and easy to handle by shooters of any hand size.
The slide of the P-10F Competition Ready is about half inch (1,27 cm) longer than the CZ P-10F's standard; it still sports the classic P-10 series design and front and rear slide serrations, topped with a fiber optic front sight, a serrated rear sight, and a machined interface that will accept adapter plates for the installation of most micro red dot sights.
A key feature of the new CZ P-10F Competition-Ready is the purpose-built, cold hammer forged, 12,7 cm / 5" long barrel, featuring a full, shiny gold titanium nitride coating for longer service life and a Match Grade chamber with improved feeding ramp geometry. The chamber is slightly larger than standard for 9mm, allowing the use of a vast majority of 9x19mm factory ammunition and making the P-10F Competition-Ready more reliable when using handloads.
The technical specifications of the new CZ P-10F Competition-Ready pistol
The new Competition-Ready model feeds through the same double-stack metal magazines used on the baseline P-10F, offering a capacity of 19+1 or 10+1 rounds of 9x19mm ammunition (a.k.a. 9mm Luger or 9mm Parabellum) depending on local laws and regulations. All magazines feature a Henning Group metal baseplate, also treated in a shiny golden finish matching that of the barrel and trigger, providing a stark contrast to the matte black color of the slide and frame for a better aesthetic appeal.
The new CZ P-10F Competition-Ready pistol is 21,59 cm / 8.5" long overall, weighs in at 850 grams (30 oz) when empty, and features fully ambidextrous controls, including an Apex Tactical extended slide release and an HB Industries competition trigger, manufactured out of 6061-T6 aluminum, for improved competition performance, lower weight and shorter pre-travel take-up, approved for use in USPSA Production Division.
As of today, the CZ P-10F Competition-Ready pistol is a north American market exclusive, distributed by CZ-USA at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $999.00.
