At Shot Show, Colt’s Manufacturing Company has showcased three new products for 2016: the Colt Competition Pistol, the Colt Expanse M4 Carbine, and the Colt Lightweight Commander.

The new Colt Competition Pistol is race ready right out of the box, available in .45 ACP or 9mm calibers and comes with several features that competitive shooters will appreciate, including Colt’s Dual Spring Recoil System developed for the M45A1 in order to reduce recoil and help keep shots on target at critical moments.

The Colt Competition Pistol is a competition grade pistol, with features like Novak’s new adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front sight, competition ergonomics including an undercut trigger guard and upswept beavertail safety, and a National Match barrel. The Colt Competition Pistol carries an MSRP of $899.

The Colt Lightweight Commander is offered in .45 ACP or 9mm calibers and affords enthusiasts the ability to concealed carry a real 1911 platform pistol comfortably. With a shorter profile and lower weight than a traditional full size Government Model, the Colt Lightweight Commander offers the Dual Spring Recoil System and custom Colt G10 grips, among other enhancements. The MSRP of the Colt Lightweight Commander is $949.

The opening image of this news shows instead the Colt M45A1 Pistol, in the configuration that has been adopted by the United States Marine Corps, that has selected this Colt Rail Gun as their Close Quarters Battle Pistol (CQBP).

The new feature for 2016 is the Decobond Brown Coating for increased durability. Other basic features includes a M1913 Spec Picatinny Rail for mounting lights, lasers, and other accessories: a Dual Recoil spring system reducing felt recoil while extending recoil spring life; and Novak Tritium Front and Rear 3 Dot Night Sights. The Colt M45A1 Pistol retails at around $1.699.
