New from Bushnell for late 2020, the RXS line of micro red-dot sights expands the Company's product line with two distinct alternatives – the RXS-100 and RXS-250 – promising class-leading performance and multi-platform versatility.

While sharing features such as an extruded aircraft-grade aluminum housing and a point-source LED powered by a single CR2032 battery, the RXS-100 and RXS-250 differentiate in tier, performance, and price. The RXS-100 is a budget-minded product, priced at $99.99 in the US, while the RXS-250 is more advanced and comes at an MSRP of $249.99 on the US market. The RXS-100 is already available for purchase, while the RXS-250 will start shipping in October.

The Bushnell RXS-100 is 48mm / 1.9" long overall, and features a multicoated lens protected against impact by an oversized hood; the True Tone coatings mitigate blue tint and maximize light transmission.

The detented windage and elevation dials provide tactile adjustment clicks with 1-MOA increments for the 4 MOA center dot, with total adjustment range exceeding 100 MOA. A set of side-mounted buttons provide easy access to eight different brightness levels; holding the down arrow button for three seconds will shut off the sight.

An auto-shutoff function activates powering down the RXS-100 after 12 hours of continuous use without button presses; depending from the selected brightness level, a single CR2032 battery can provide up to 5000 hours of life.

The Bushnell RXS-100 can be directly installed on any standard Leupold Deltapoint Pro base, making it compatible with the vast majority of optics-ready pistol slides and adapter plates available. A Weaver/Picatinny style add-on mount is included for installation on shotguns or rifles.

The RXS-100 is IPX7 certified for water resistance, and stands at a mere 61,8 grams (2.2 oz) in weight with its base, making it as unobstructive as it get without adding too much weight to the gun. The battery compartment is side-opening for easy access and replacement.

The Bushnell RXS-250, more specifically conceived to be used on defensive and service handguns as well as tactical or modern sporting rifles, can be told apart from the RXS-100 by its chamfered, snag-proof hood and shielded emitter, which also reduce glare. Its robust aluminum housing exceeds the requirements of MIL-STD-810 drop testing while mounted on a fully loaded pistol to ensure that the glass and electronic internals are protected during field use, and IP67 rated sealing of the electronics allows the optic to be briefly submerged without damage.

Standing at 48 mm (1.9") overall in length and 67 grams (2.3 oz) in weight with its base, the RXS-250 is also compatible with Leupold's Deltapoint Pro footprint and comes issued from factory with a Weaver/Picatinny interface.

Bushnell's RXS-250 red dot sight zeroes through a set of dented dials, just like the RXS-100, but unlike that model, this has brightness adjustment buttons on both sides instead of on one side only.

Ten different selectable brightness settings are available, and an auto-shutoff feature is provided, bringing the maximum battery life to 50.000 hours; the battery compartment can be conveniently accessed from the top, so that the RXS-250 doesn't need to be removed from the gun it's installed on in order to replace the battery.

Both the Bushnell RXS-100 and RXS-250 are backed by Bushnell's Lifetime Ironclad warranty and are engineered and manufactured to withstand the rigors of the outdoors for the lifetime of the product. The materials and workmanship are covered for 5 years from date of purchase or manufacturing date. The warranty is fully transferable, with no receipt required.
