Leupold's new optics for mid-year 2020

Undeterred by the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic, Leupold & Stevens – one of the world's premier manufacturers of sport, hunting, observation and tactical optics – has just announced a massive expansion of its already vast product line for mid-2020.

Two new red dot sights, a new observation scope available in two different variants, and a versatile new laser rangefinder will now make even more high quality choices available to the discerning sport shooter or professional operator.

Leupold DeltaPoint Pro NV

The Leupold DeltaPoint Pro NV, available in full black and Flat Dark Earth variants, is the latest variant of the well-known, tried-and-true DeltaPoint micro red dot sight.

While retaining all the most desirable features of the previous variants, the DeltaPoint Pro NV sight is optimized for the use of the most modern night vision devices, including white phosphor equipment.

The DeltaPoint Pro NV features two new night vision settings that are adjustable, allowing shooters to fine tune their red dot to match the sensitivity of their night vision equipment.

Estremely small and lightweight, standing at barely 1.82" / 4,62 cm of overall length per 1.95 oz. / 55,2 grams of overall weight, the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro NV is perfect to be used on both long guns and handguns alike, either as a primary or secondary/ancillary aiming system.

It also features a very wide field of view and a 2.5 MOA dot offering a 60-MOA adjustment range both in windage and elevation thanks to two separate, 1 MOA-per-click slotted adjustment dials.

While optimized for the use of night vision devices, the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro NV has also been improved for outstanding performance in high environmental lighting conditions.

Shooters can now max out their sights illumination or lower it to match their current conditions using the top brightness setting that automatically adjusts the red dot's visibility to any level. A combination of efficient circuitry and built-in Motion Sensor Technology (MST) help extend battery life to a new industry standard.

Leupold Freedom RDS Black Ring

The Leupold Freedom RDS Black Ring is a premium, versatile and highly performing red dot sight built to be easily and quickly paired to modern sporting rifles and carbines – particularly to AR-15 variants – thanks to its included mount, offering just the optimal height. A version featuring the capped precision ¼-MOA click adjustments will soon be available without the included mount.

New for 2020, Leupold also offers a new version of the design with an exposed BDC elevation turret that ships with measurements out to 500 yards (approx. 457 meters) for standard 55-grain .223 Remington ammunition.

This CDS-style turret makes taking longer shots as simple as ranging the target, turning the dial, and aiming dead on, with no holdover worries.

The Leupold Freedom RDS Black Ring sight features a 1-MOA illuminated dot supported by Leupold’s battery-saving Motion Sensor Technology (MST), programmed to put the sight into a battery-saving standby mode after five minutes of inactivity.

When the MST detects motion, it instantly activates the dot illumination, saving battery power for when it really matters; a manual mode to shut the sight off when not in use is also available.

Eight illumination settings are available, making the dot easily visible in low-light conditions or the mid-day sun. On the RDS’s medium setting, the user will be able to max up battery life up to 1000 truly usable hours.

The position of the dot can be adjusted in windage and elevation on an 80-MOA range thanks to two, ¼-MOA-per-click protected turrets.
