The Maserin cutlery introduces the new 925 Diceros fixed blade utility and rescue knife: a solid design, built to commemorate heroes of conservation and support the Pilanesberg National Park rangers in South Africa

One of the new products from the Maserin cutlery for 2022, the Maserin 925 Diceros fixed-blade knife is the center of an extremely interesting initiative aimed at supporting wildlife conservation efforts in some of the most vulnerable places on Earth: purchases will support the Pilanesberg National Park, in South Africa, where many Diceros knives will be sent directly to be issued to the local rangers. Designed by Davide Bomben and Maxwell Di Pierro, the Maserin 925 Diceros knife is dedicated to three brave men who gave their lives to fight poachers.

The blade is engraved with the Maserin logo and the letters K.R.L., standing for the names of Kobus de Marais, Rory Young, and Luca Vercesi.

Kobus de Marais – a K9 handler and anti-poaching expert – was killed by a lion in February 2021 while in pursuit of a group of poachers in the Pilanesberg National Park.

Rory Young - an anti-poaching unit instructor - was killed in Burkina Faso along with two Spanish journalists back in April 2021 at the hands of Nusrat al-Islam, a local Jihadi group with ties to the Al-Qaeda network.

Luca Vercesi - a field and emergency medicine instructor for the Poaching Prevention Academy in Namibia - was killed recently by an ailment he had been fighting against for some time.
