GAMO Outdoor acquires Daisy

GAMO Outdoor S.L.U., the European and global market leader in sporting and hunting airguns, acquires iconic American airgun maker Daisy

BRS Outdoor Sports Holdings LLC., the New York based owner of the Spanish GAMO firm, officially announced the takeover of Daisy Outdoor early in July

GAMO Outdoor S.L.U. an affiliate of New York-based private equity investment firm BRS - Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. announced on June 6, 2016 the acquisition of Daisy Outdoor Products. Both GAMO and Daisy are iconic brands in the field of airgun manufacturing for hunting and sport shooting; headquartered in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), GAMO is a Spanish company founded in 1959 and grown to global preminence as the years went by, acquiring brands such as the glorious BSA and quickly becoming the largest producer of airguns and air rifles in Europe, and the largest producer of airgun pellets and ammunition in the world.

Daisy is one of the most recognized brands of airguns and related accessories in the United States of America. Founded in 1886 and currently headquartered in Rogers (Arkansas, USA), the Daisy Outdoor Product is the world's oldest manufacturer of air guns. The current Daisy products line includes the Daisy, PowerLine, Winchester® Air Rifles and AVANTI training and match competitive airguns, as well as the Precision Max® ammunition and the AirStrike brand soft air guns, ammo and accessories.

Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. acquired the GAMO Outdoor company three years ago, and also owns New Archery Products, a leading designer and manufacturer of fixed and mechanical broadheads, vanes and fletching and other archery related accessories.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Other shareholders of BRS Outdoor Sports include Frist Capital, LLC.; Bixby Bridge Capital, LLC.; Swift River Investments; and Quilvest Private Equity.
