Among the new products introduced by Winchester Ammunition in 2018 are several new loads in the Deer Season line of hunting rifle ammunition, first introduced in 2015. Featuring a large-diameter polymer tip for expansion upon impact, a contoured jacket and an alloyed lead core for optimized energy transfer, the Winchester Deer Season XP Rifle ammunition has since developed a strong following among deer hunters.

Offered in fifteen of the most popular deer hunting calibers across North America, Winchester Ammunition's Deer Season XP Rifle ammunition is now also available in a 117-grain, .25-06 Remington load and a hard-hitting 250-grain .450 Bushmaster load optimized for modern semi-automatic rifles.

The new Deer Season Copper Impact rounds provide devastating terminal performance with outstanding weight retention and deep penetration. Like the original Deer Season XP Rifle ammunition, the new Copper Impact loads feature a large-diameter polymer tip and a hollow-point bullet for rapid expansion.

What differentiates them is the solid copper bullet design, offering improved weight retention for deeper penetration and a reinforced red polymer tip.

The Winchester Deer Season Copper Impact rounds will be available in twenty different calibers, including popular hunting loads such as 85-grain .243 Winchester; 130-grain .270 Winchester; 150-grain .30-06 Springfield; 150-grain .308 Winchester; and 150 grain .300 Winchester Magnum.
