SHOT Show 2017 - Browning Ammunition showcased several new rifle, carbine and shotgun cartridges for small and big game hunting
At 2017 SHOT Show, Browning Ammunition has introduced several shotshells and rifle cartridges specifically conceived for both small and big game hunting.
Browning BXS Deer shotshell
In terms of hunting shotshells, new from Browning for 2017 are the BXS and BXD loads.
The Browning BXS shell is a deer shotgun load featuring a solid copper, heavyweight, large diameter, saboted expansion slug with a polymer tip available in 2.¾" 12-gauge and 20-gauge versions, optimized to develop up to 1600 feet-per-second in muzzle energy and to deliver increased accuracy, downrange energy transfer, and penetration.
The Browning BXD are instead organized in Turkey, Upland and Waterfowl hunting shotshells, available in 12 gauge 3" and 3.½" or 20 gauge 3" variants and different lead sizes, depending on typology. The Browning BXD shotshells are optimized for a tighter pattern thanks to the aerodynamically stabilized wad and the resin buffer, which results in a more focused energy deposit on target.

Browning BXV Predator & Varmint
Talking about rifle ammunition, the Browning BXV Predator & Varmint rapid expansion loads in calibers such as .22 Hornet, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester and .223 Remington offer flat-shooting, rapid-expansion, polymer-tipped bullets loaded in a nickel-plated shellcase with improved ballistic coefficient and massive energy deposit.
Finally, the new Browning BXR loads are designed for preys such whitetail, blacktail, mule deer and antelope; their proprietary Matrix tip provides high downrange velocity and energy retention while also initiating rapid positive expansion.
The jacket and tip combination yields precision accuracy, rapid energy transfer and generates massive knockdown power; among available calibers are .243 Winchester, 270 Winchester, .30-30 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 Winchester Short Magnum, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm Remington Magnum and 7mm-08 Remington.
