SHOT Show 2020 – Magpul expands its line of drum magazines with two 50-rounds 9mm models dedicated to the CZ Scorpion EVO sub-machine gun, to the Scorpion EVO-series civilian pistols and carbines, and to all the pistol caliber carbines and sub-machine guns that use Glock 9mm pistol magazines

The Magpul D-50 EV9 and Magpul D-50 GL9-PCC, announced at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, are the first pistol-caliber iterations of Magpul's drum magazine design, proven to be one of the most practical and reliable in the world.

The Magpul D-50 EV9 and D-50 GL9-PCC magazines hold fifty rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition each, and are respectively made for the CZ Scorpion EVO derivatives (SMGs, pistols, carbines) and for all those SMGs, large-sized pistols and pistol-caliber carbines that feed through Glock pistol magazines.

The Magpul D-50 GL9-PCC and EV9 magazines boast many of the proven features of its 5.56 and 7.62 predecessors, also providing the user with a similar magazine capacity increase. The unique drum configuration keeps the height of the magazine manageable, allowing for prone firing and easier storage.

For easy loading, the new Magpul D-50 GL9-PCC and D-50 EV9 include a ratcheting loading lever that removes tension from the internal spring. A rounds-remaining rear window, a high-visibility follower and a capacity indication roller are also issued. Like the previous iterations of the design, the new Magpul D-50 GL9-PCC and EV9 magazines feature robust stainless-steel internals that withstand corrosion and long-term loaded storage with no loss of function.

It is worth pointing out, as confirmed by Magpul at SHOT, that the D-50 GL9-PCC magazine is NOT compatible with Glock pistols, as the length of the portion of the magazine that fits inside the grip is not long enough to fit in the grip of a Glock pistol deep enough to engage the magazine retention latch and present a round in chamber. The Magpul D-50 EV9 magazine will hit the stores in the US in Summer 2020; the Magpul D-50 GL9-PCC will follow suit next Fall.
